My Polish/English Views

Hello everyone!       I will be completely honest with you... I have tried my best to write today's entry in Polish; however five sentences in I realised that my Polish was nowhere good enough to create anything decent out of it; therefore I would like to sincerely apologise!  On the other hand, the subject of today's post remains the same; therefore I am going to get right to it! ENJOY!  ♡ ENGLAND versus POLAND       Whenever someone asks me the following question: "What are people like in Poland / What are people like in England?" I always respond with the same answer: they are very similar, yet very different. Why?  Poles just like Brits are very outgoing. Whenever I go for a night out in either country I always feel like I can talk to new people without feeling awkward (well most of the time) nor rejected. All in all, most people in both countries come across very friendly and chatty, which is something I value a lot. Once I even had the opportun

My Language Learning Techniques

Welcome back! 💕💕 Today I will introduce you to the techniques I use to study foreign languages. You might find them particularly useful if you are learning a language yourself or if you are thinking of taking up a language in the future. Just please remember that these techniques work for me; therefore they may not work for everybody .  I don't want to bore you with a ridiculously long introduction, so let me get right to it...💪 1. Vocal Repetition Vocal repetition is known as one of the most effective ways of transferring information from short term memory into long term memory. I have been using this technique for years and it works wonders! I find it particularly useful once I complete a chapter in my book and I want to be confident with the vocabulary listed at the end before moving on. Also, it forces you to say things out loud just like you would in a real life situation, which is vitally important. Very often, I know how to communicate in a certain language,

My Experiences with Foreign Languages

Welcome back to my Blog! 💖 I would like to apologise for not uploading anything yesterday... I didn't feel too well and I had to catch up with some of my work, but I do hope that you will enjoy today's post. Just to let you know, I haven't mentioned anything about the techniques I use, but only the experiences... I'm saving that for another day.  OK, let's go! How & Why did I learn English?  My language journey began ten years ago when I moved from Poland to the UK. I was only ten years old at the time, so my knowledge of the English language was only what I had learnt at primary school. By the end of the summer holidays, I got to a point where I knew that if I really wanted to make any friends, I would have to make the effort to sit down with a book and do some extra studying outside of my school hours. I found it quite hard, because although the books were for complete beginners, some explanations were not clear enough for my young brain. Below

Exam Prep? Just a few things to consider.

Considering the time of the year, it's a no brainer that a lot of you are preparing to sit your exams. You are very likely to be stressed about the very little time you have left, worried about remembering all the facts from your revision notes and very close to getting a heart attack from all the caffeine you have consumed over the past few weeks. I know EXACTLY how it feels, and although I am not sitting any exams this year myself, there are a few things that I hope will help you get in the right mind-set. OK, here we go! 1. DON'T SPEND A SINGLE MINUTE ON THE CONTENT YOU ALREADY KNOW!  As an English tutor, I have come across many different individuals. Of course, we are all different. We learn at different speeds and there is only so much information we can take in at once. HOWEVER, I know how comforting it can be to go through the stuff we already know.    No matter, what it is, we unconsciously know that it gives us a sense of achievement and sa

I have recently quit university to work at Unilever London as a Digital Marketing Apprentice. I listen to almost all types of music genres, but K-pop is at the top of that list at this very moment... I have many other interests and hobbies, but I'm not going to go into too much detail...JUST YET.  So why this Blog? Ever since I started uploading study related posts to my Instagram, I thought that I would like to do something a little bit more informative, so then I realised that creating a blog closely related to my Instagram account would be a perfect idea! I have a lot of exper
